Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) are the general requirements for food and pharmaceutical manufacturing organizations as it relates to production and quality standards. By following these practices, risk can be minimized in these facilities. Good Manufacturing Practices are enforced by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Along with GMP, food manufacturing sites follow several more regulations enforced by the FDA including Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) and Food Allergen.
