Most workplaces have hazardous chemicals present and, in most cases, are being used each day by the workers. In order to protect workers from the dangers of these chemicals, proper hazard communication measures must be taken which correctly identify and provide information on the chemicals that are present. In 2013, the new GHS labels were made a requirement in the workplace so that there is a global standard on hazardous materials under OSHA regulation 20 CFR 1910.1200.1

These micro-learning clips are designed to help learners understand what are the guidelines for hazardous chemicals, what are the different classes of hazardous chemicals, other workplace potential hazardous chemicals, what are the precautions when exposed to a hazardous chemical and how to protect yourself from hazardous chemicals. We’re exposed to a variety of hazardous chemicals in the workplace and proper hazard communication can prevent avoidable injuries and illness to your workers.
