Walking-Working Surfaces pertain to the areas in which workers are walking and operating on in the workplace as covered by OSHA CFR 1910.22. This regulation states that all floors in each operating workroom will be clean and dry as well as hazard free. A recent update to the regulation occurred and was set enforceable May 2017. These updates were designed to incorporate new industry best practices, advances in technology and cost-effective worker protection.1

These micro-learning clips are designed to help learners understand the fundamentals of workplace safe surfaces; the different types of walkways and floors; how to work safely with stairs and fixed ladders; portable ladders safety and what are the safety guidelines when working with scaffolding. Every industry is affected by risk with walking and working surfaces.
